...26 years later.  

I am feeling some kind of emotion for Patty Wetterling right now.  Perhaps relief that she might finally bring closure to the loss of her son.  But as I listen to this breaking news, I am also overcome with an overwhelming sadness that a mother would live this nightmare for so very long.

Oh, wow. That's incredible. Praying for the Wetterlings...and hope that this brings them answers.....and justice for their son.

They arrested the man for possession of child porn after executing a search warrant to look for items related to the Wetterling case and that of another boy who was sexually assaulted a year after the kidnapping. The DNA on the second boy's clothes matches the suspect's, but that case cannot be charged due to statute of limitations. They think the footprint from the Weterling case matches the suspect's. The composite drawing and his pic today bear remarkable similarities. At least he is being held on the child porn charges. Praying for the Wetterlings.

ETA: The suspect is 52 today, which would have made him 26 at the time of the abduction. SMH.

I've been following this case from the beginning. Jacob was walking with his brother when he was snatched. I'm praying they caught the right guy and he spends the rest of his life in a small cell.

This case is so sad. I have never forgotten it. Hope they finally found who did this.

I remember an interview on TV with the mother. The other son, who was with Jacob, still tortures himself for not saving his brother. This type of horror changes and affects everyone who is close to the victim FOREVER.
