Not hyperbole. Not sure if you shop here.
Auto deliveries can be canceled. That is what people said they were canceling.
There is a very short period of time of varying lengths in which to cancel a regular order. It didn't use to be that way. I think we had more than a day to cancel, as long as the item hadn't shipped.
NOW sometimes you can't cancel just minutes after placing an order. Sometimes we have a little more time. But definitely not more than a day. I remember HSN had a rule, you could cancel until midnight of the day one ordered, after you couldn't. I haven't shopped there in a while except for a handful of items, so I don't know what they are doing now. QVC allowed later cancellations.
Now we can't cancel orders that are being prepared or processed for days, which seems ridiculous. I would think QVC would want to ship orders within a business day of them being placed, and if they can't, customers should be able to cancel. But they take days and sometimes weeks to ship orders. We are told we can't cancel, they are "in process."
Not cool to leave customers to wonder when our orders will be shipped for days and longer. Not the standard service offered by other retailers. These issues started pre-pandemic. I think they have inventory management problems.

@Etoile308 wrote:@kaydee50, but you are doing social media. Message boards like this are part of social media.
Yes, I know that I'm on a "social media" site but only because I'm already on the QVC website. I would not join social media just for it's own sake and did not go to the new boards that were started.

I can’t help but wonder if Q’s decision came not from the dozens of complaints (how many people do you think actually emailed corporate?), but from the amount of people that they could clearly see moving to the new ProBoards site. Add to that, the Facebook news that coincided with their announcement - and so quickly commented on here. Guess we don’t know the real reason for their change of heart - and therefore can’t trust them not to reconsider yet again.Add to that the number of order cancellations. Some were because of the current delivery problems, but others were definitely because of the forum closing announcement.
You're right--we'll never know.
I thought you couldn't cancel an order after placing one. I read that all the time. Which is it? Q will let you cancel an order or they won't? I read the customer service section A LOT and this seems to be a major complaint of many. @geezerette
Maybe this is just hyberbole because of bad feelings some have.
You can easily cancel advanced orders, waitlist orders, and auto-delivery orders.

@geezeretteI haven't purchased anything that was an advanced order. Though I do read the Customer Service section and a lot of people are not thrilled about backorders.
Thx

@Carolina925 I agree. That other site is hard to navigate and the font is soooo small.....and I have good vision. I will also stay here until the Q decides to try this again!

However, it seems the damage has been done. How many longtime posters have left for the other site and won't be back? How many posters have left altogether? Like, we're all scattered now.
This whole thing was just weird, I'm sorry.
What makes you think that? This was a heck of a speed bump we hit this week, but that doesn't mean everyone has "scattered" and will never check in to see what's going on before November 2, thinking that's when it's over. Or after Nov 2, out of curiousity.
People may have signed up for other boards, but that doesn't mean they are comfortable using them. It takes time, and I think several regulars here may go back and forth between boards.
I'm not sure any significant damage has been done, in the long run. JMO

I have no problem with maintaining and posting both sites. I can always use more and more friends and conversation.

I have been here 19 years and will continue here for as long as it remains open. I dont adapt well to change, or the fact that so many said to make up fake birthdays, get special emails , I am not understanding all of that, if it is great over there and so secure why all the drama and the fake ID's? Something about all of that just doesnt sit right with me.

@Ladybug724 I didn't leave and I'm a long, long, long time poster. I doubt many people left. There's no way I would go to any other forum to see the QVC Community Forum posts. I don't even understand why a few posters would go to another site and try to set up an alternative QVC Community Forum site when this one is not closed, has not closed, and has never been closed. That's what's weird to me.

I am on both boards now. I'll post in both locations & if th QVC forums go away, then I'll post on Proboards only. I won't create a Facebook account. I deleted that years ago and refuse to go back.
