At least when I log out of the ProBoard forum, I'm actually logged out.

No matter how many times I sign out of here, the next time I open this up, I'm still logged in. To me that's a security issue.

I did try to bring it to the attention of the moderators (to pass on to whomever is supposed to maintain these forums), but it had no effect.

@Ladybug724 I didn't leave and I'm a long, long, long time poster. I doubt many people left. There's no way I would go to any other forum to see the QVC Community Forum posts. I don't even understand why a few posters would go to another site and try to set up an alternative QVC Community Forum site when this one is not closed, has not closed, and has never been closed. That's what's weird to me.

@KatieB - I think the confusion is, that we were told these forums were going away on November 2nd.

Why would anyone who wanted to be able to keep in touch wait until that date to set up an alternative? How would they get the new information across?

No, the boards weren't closed, but they were going to be. Now there's been a reversal of that decision, but no one is saying it's permanent. As TPTB have said, wait and see what's next.

I am a sporatic reader and poster on here. If I have some time to kill or have to get away from the noise of the TV or my book reading is caught up, I will go through my favorite topics here. Then I get hooked and stay too long. So, if this were to go away I will go away also and not join any facebook or new boards. I can live without them. But, my heart ached for those that said they did not feel comfortable trying to set up elsewhere or those that depend so much on this forum site for company and information. I do hope the Q finds a way to stop antagonizing customers with nonsense like this deal that just happened. Like others mentioned, I do not have to buy from them. As a matter of fact, I do not NEED much of anything, but unfortunately I do some impulse buying and that is usually after I have been on these boards and then look at what they are selling for the day. Their loss, my gain in my pocket if they stop this board.

@KatieB Because, by your comments, you don't seem to know that QVC was going to close these boards. They have temporarily however, it seems, reversed that decision. Meanwhile many, many posters have left because of it

@Bri369 Totally agree with what you said. Many Christmas shopping dollars would have been lost if they would have the forums closed, in my opinion. I frequently buy something that someone on the forum recommended.

I like the new site and am amazed at how fast and well the team over there put it together. I asked for two changes and they took care of it in less than 24 hours! They had the WEN forum called WEN Girls and I thought that would discourage the guys who also use WEN. They changed it to just WEN when I requested it.

Also, I always wondered by the list of forum names on the Q are not in alphabetical order, which just seems logical to me to do. On the new site they were not in alpha order either, so I asked if they could do that, to make it faster to find a possible forum about something you are interested in. They did it.

And there are several new forums, like ones on humor, one on the Royal Family, etc. If you have a reasonable request, they will take care of it AND FAST!
