I have a number of these ceramic pie dishes (apple, cherry, pumpkin, blueberry) that I've bought at various places. The thought never crossed my mind to actually bake a pie in them. Frequently my fruit pies have spillage and the pretty pie dish would be a mess. I bake my pies in regular pie pans and use these ceramics dishes as serving dishes. Everyone does oooh and aaah over them.

I also have a similar ceramic corn serving set, as well as a big watermelon with smaller bowls. They are no particular brand. Frequently I see cute ceramic serving pieces in places like Marshalls and Home Goods. Some of the pie plates came from KOHLS.

"It is beautiful!!! First shipment bottom was broken into pieces; Loved it so much that I ordered again right away. Second shipment was broken as well. If you can get it delivered, it is beautiful."

I broke down & bought the pie plate too.

I bake the pie in a tin plate that fits INSIDE this one. That's the ONLY way I would use this for serving!

If this is Temptations, I love the dish but wouldn't buy it on a bet!!

Temp-tations Cherry Jubilee 9 Pie Dish with Wire Rack

What a pretty set. I am Tempted to buy more TT, but very skeptical. I won't buy anything just to use it for serving only. I want something that can stand up to baking in the oven. I'll have to check the reviews...

It is, but I have no intention of making a pie in it... decoration only.

That's an idea...it's really cute. (Guess you can tell I've had my own problems with Temptations...) I have an old tea kettle handpainted white with cherries on it that I sit on my stove sometimes -- I wouldn't use it, but I love the way it looks. They would match!{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} That's the way to go. I was thinking even just big red apples in it for fall.

Two words:

1) Polish

2) Stoneware

I couldn't find the cherry pie plate in inventory. Does anyone have an item number? It's probably sold out.
