Any takers? It last sold for 800 million in 2008.
I say we all pitch in and claim ourselves a room.
I'm not cleaning the top though. I say we get Scrub Daddy to do that job or one those safe keepers from Lori to make sure it never tarnishes.

@Laura14. Easy pay?

Okay if there are no takers, I'm telling David Venable to get it on ITKWD tonight. As a foodie's designer storage facility for Le Creuset and All Clad, you know it will go!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could buy it?
So many buildings don't belong to us anymore.

@Drythe Yes! I believe the article said the highest stake was from Abu Dhabi so I say they give us at least a year's worth of gas each on top of our bid.

As a lifelong New Yorker the Chrysler building is one of my 5 favorite buildings in NYC. It sparkles and shimmers. Such an outstanding example of Art Deco
architecture, it is exquisitely beautiful.

I couldn't be further from NY in the PNW, but I have always loved and admired the style of the jazz age, and the Chrysler Building is a supreme example of that. The sad thing is we no longer have artisans who can create or repair that decorative style. It was replaced by German Bauhaus glass and steel. To me the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building are symbols of America at a time when design was important to the American psyche and aesthetic pride.

So much is not owned by us.
Buildings, all the farm lands were sold off, and industry.
A price tag was put on it all and paid for by other countries.
So sad.
It is a beautiful building and when you ride over the bridges you can easily spot it by it's architecture.
I agree with your post.
