 YES, all companies are driven by sales and profits. 

 

No retailer would stay in business if they lost money .... or just broke even.

@granddi - that was back in the day of the founder, Joe Segal. He didn't want the hosts to use hard sell tactics.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

I don't really watch much but I can't say that they have changed any more than any other place.  It's all about keeping up with the times and selling and keeping the business going and making money, I would guess.  That is something that hasn't changed and will never change.  And I don't believe it's unique to this place.  I know what I like and what I can afford and that's my bottom line.  If I can't find what I like, need or can afford here, then I go some place else and look.  No place really influences me by saying or implying - you need this or have to have this to create a better life or be a better person.
