The Beatles are on WOSU TV right now! Sure takes me back. I love the Beatles - I can still see me screaming at a concert as a kid! Brings back great memories.

They came to the US when I was in the 8th grade. I thought they were over rated then and I still do.

I saw them in 1963 (I was 13) at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
It was August and very hot -- also raining. We didn't care.
They were out in center field, bad sound, no big screens. It could have been anybody out there. Everyone around me was screaming and jumping.
When they left the field, they passed very close to where I was sitting. It left me speechless. Could not even scream!
A sweet memory.

Was that the movie that Ron Howard did? If so, I watched it last night. I loved it so much! It brought me back to my younger days --- I felt like I was back in the day again. They were brilliant and changed the face of music. There never was, nor will there ever be anyone like them again.
I rememer when they were touring and I was pretty young and I wanted to go to their concernt so, so badly. There was no way that I was allowed to go. Too young, and my mother was afraid for my safety!!!
I had the most huge, huge crush on Paul --- still have one! But I think as a whole, they were just beyond compare. And singly, so very, very talented in their own right.
I did see Paul in concert and Ringo, too. I am glad that I got to see the 2 remaining Beatles, but oh, how I wish I could have seen them together. But, I wouldn't have been able to hear them any way!
I still feel so sad that John was killed by some crazed nut, and that poor George was first attacked and then later died from an illness before his time.

There will never be anybody like the Beatles.
So much talent & natural charm.

I was 23 yrs old when the Beatles made their grand entrance on the Ed Sullivan Show. They were - and still are - the best group. Love all their music - especially when they were the Beatles. The closest I got to them - was having a friend invite me to the home of the female who started the Beatles Fan Club - which was in Los Angeles.

Loved them. Joined The Beatles Fan Club. Had pen pals in England who were Beatle fans. Went to the 1965 Shea Stadium concert as a kid. I still have the program and ticket stub. I also still have all of my Beatles cards!

@KathyM23 There is a whole thread about this in the TV and Movies forum (since it's on TV and it's a movie!)

The program sure did stir great memories. But I remember losing interest in them when John started hanging out with Yoko. That "bed" scene, I dunno, he just got weird. And I never felt their individual musical creations were as good as when they were together. Jmho
We moved on to other groups and there were so many good ones to choose from. Funny, though, when I watched the last segment with their concert on the roof my first thought was that they looked scroungy and unkempt. Then I had to laugh at myself because back then I never thought about them or any band that way. I can remember my grandmother saying that and me thinking she just doesn't get it! It appears I've become my grandmother! 🤣🤣🤣

I remember them on the Ed Sullivan show when they first came to U.S.. I was singing along to the music (only new half the words to the song). My parents told us to turn off t.v.. They hated that rock and roll music. Lawernce Welk was much better for us to listen too
