I live in MN and am 15 minutes from Paisley Park, have passed it everyday for years now. I always look when I drive by.

In my younger days I was lucky enough to see him twice at 1st Avenue in Minneapolis.

He has been the heartbeat of the music scene here for years, such a loss.

what sad news. i'm stunned and saddened. i've always loved his music and thought there was something mysterious about him. i also found him to be very sexy. he will be missed.

Hi @proudlyfromNJ - Yes, you have to open the cached version of the story now to see it and the comments, because the website says the story from the 18th is currently "being updated." That all would be very sad.

Update from TMZ:

update_graphic_red_bar 12:25 PM PT -- The Sheriff's department says Prince was found in an elevator at Paisley Park. They performed CPR, but were unable to revive him. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 10:07 AM Central Time.

11:27 AM PST -- The Carver County Sheriff's Office tells TMZ they are now investigating the circumstances of Prince's death. At this time, there are no signs of foul play.
