Re: The Annual Christmas Card Counting Thread

I am not exactly sure how many we sent out, perhaps 35. We received 23 so far.

There are some people we send cards to even though we know that don't or can't send out cards.

Re: The Annual Christmas Card Counting Thread

I had moments of not wanting to send any but then gave in. I got half of what I sent out.Isn't it strange how that happens.

I always feel bad if I get ones from those I didn't send to. But then I thank them or call or send one too thanking them.

But you can kind of tell when some send you one cause you sent them one.

But there are some I always love to get and love to send to also.

The card connundrum, and I guess it shouldn't be.

Re: The Annual Christmas Card Counting Thread

This year I sent just 2 cards- both to elderly relatives.

I have received 7 and there are 3 coming in today's mail, so as of 12/21 my total received is 10.

Re: The Annual Christmas Card Counting Thread

I continue to send Christmas cards because I enjoy doing it.  It makes me feel good and I am one for tradition so I will continue doing it.  Of course my list grows smaller each year but if I make someone happy or make them think of my family and I - it's all good.  I started very young helping my Mom put the stamps and Christmas seals on her cards.  After learning script, I could address her cards after she wrote out the cards.  We had multiple deliveries of mail each day bringing cards to us, it was exciting to see who remembered us.
