They were found in the closet of an abandoned home in nearby Lancaster.  Zoo officials think they were intentionally taken from their enclosure.  So happy for the monkeys and their zoo family!

YAY!👏👏 I read this intriguing story this evening and feared the worst related to some of the details. I am SO glad there is a happy ending to their story, and hope zoo officials and, or law enforcement can solve the other puzzling events.🤞😊

This was shown on my local news.  They have a suspect on camera at the zoo.  He's stole other zoo animals that have not been found yet.

I'm so glad they were found. I heard about the monkeys as well as the tiger and rare vulture. 

How people treat animals is all I need to know about them.

The leopard was found I believe still in the zoo compound. Isn't this the 3rd fence tampering? First it was the lemur area, then the clouded leopard and now these Tamarin monkeys. Hope they catch the person doing this.

Thanks to a tip, Dallas police, with the help of the Lancaster Police Department, located the two missing tamarin monkeys a little before 5 p.m. local time in the closet of an empty home in Lancaster, police said. Lancaster is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. 

Lancaster police later said that the monkeys were found in a "vacant home" in the 2500 block of Gerry Way, which is about 10 miles south of the Dallas Zoo. 

Pictured is one of the animals still inside the closet of the house. The monkeys have been returned to the zoo.

So thankful that these beautiful babies were found. Just awful that they were taken.
