That craft gadget called a Cricut

I just wonder if anyone has that and what you use yours for. It fascinates me, but I don't think I'd use it and wonder what some others here do with theirs. What do you use for if you would care to share. ??

My sister uses hers for scrapbooking and making cards.

Cricut's personal electronic cutting machine cuts vinyl, paper, fabric & more. This DIY craft cutter is simple to use for scrapbooking, home décor, card making and more.

My sister has one. It is for people who like "paper crafting". Scrap-booking, making greeting cards. It cuts out precise shapes.

I have two industrial vinyl graphic's plotters and have used a Cricut a few times. They are fun but are very limited on what you can do with them.

Re: That craft gadget called a Cricut

Well..2 Christmases ago my DIL HAD to have one.....my son got it for her , paid over $300 with extras. She "played" with it over the holiday vacation and now it is sitting in the basement where it has been for over a year........it won't be lonely for long though. Last year DIL just HAD to have a bread maker and ice cream maker..they are looking to relocate to the Cricut's neighborhood.

Re: That craft gadget called a Cricut

When they first came out about 7 years ago I bought the original Cricut. I used it for card making & scrapbooking but it was very limited in what it could do.

Since then I've gone through three Silhouette digital cutters (similar but do so much more than the Cricut!) and have an online Etsy store selling custom signs. Its a nice way to turn a hobby into a business that keeps me busy with what I enjoy and the money is pretty good too!
