I can't understand why anyone continues to buy if they are that unhappy either. Sit down and add up all the money you've spent returning all those items. That alone should stop one in their tracks.
I still think there are other criteria QVC uses other than just looking at the percentage one returns. How long do you keep the item before returning? Is it worn/used before you return? Are you returning empty bottles?
I am stunned at the number of posters in the beauty forum who have said they empty the contents out of bottles and return empty bottles to save on return shipping costs. First of all, how much are you really saving? Second of all, I would bet some of them are dumping those products into other containers and continuing to use them and returning empty bottles for a refund.
How many people wear clothes or jewelry and carry handbags for the full 30 days then decide to return them? I bet that happens a lot as well.

The day I receive the dreaded letter from any website or store, is the day I stop shopping there.
I think LipstickDiva is correct when she said she thinks percentage of returns is not the only factor used. All returns are not created equal.

I never waited the full 30 days before returning something. Also, I saved the q bag or box and placed it exactly as it arrived and made sure to fold things neatly with the paperwork clearly attached even when it didn't arrive neatly to me...in fact a few things arrived all creased and required ironing to even see what it looked like....yet one year did get the letter.

We only returned 3 things in all the years we shop on QVC. If I were you, I would be very sure before purchasing anything and don't make a quick decision. I can understand sending things back if something doesn't fit or is broken. But otherwise I don't know why people change their mind once they get an item? I always think it over before purchasing. Especially now with all the price and shipping increases.

I am surprised that I never got ""the letter.""
Not now but a long time ago I used to return alot of QVC stuff.
We were big spenders back then so maybe they ""did the math"" and thought it was better not to send me a letter.
I am an Amazon girl now but I am more careful with my spending than I used to be.

Anything that is sold here, is sold on Amazon. There are so many good buys and with free s/h, why waste time and money on a shopping channel? Such a waste IMO.
I think a lot of people are just wanting to get on the air to talk to someone - otherwise it's really a waste.

I've just always done that since I was told it was okay. Sometimes the return label has on it how many pounds it covers, so if I have something heavier like a coat, I might return it separately, or if I have a $6.95 and an $8.95 label, I'll use the $8.95 label --I feel like I should because I wouldn't want a problem with the label somehow not covering what I send. Mine is usually for clothing--I seldom buy anything else. I used to buy jewelry on occasion.
After having to return a coat because it was actually piling in storage, I realized I had thrown out the box. I ended up giving it to Good Will because I was just too lazy to return it. I bet they count on that kind of thing too.
Thanks for the info about the label. I am trying to cut back on my Q clothing purchases, though, because I am having trouble with inconsistency in sizing.
In April I bought a D&Co top in Small and had to return for Medium...I bought a couple of D&Co tops in May in Medium, had to return for Small, had bought several others in Small, so now I never know which size to buy, even though I check the "Click here" measurements. I stopped buying jeans totally because of sizing. But today I broke down and ordered the D&Co Jeggings - I'm probably going to regret that...but I have several pairs of really cute boots that I want to be able to tuck my jeans into, so we'll see. Pretty much what I buy now are new colors of something that I know already fits, and hope they haven't changed it!

I have never received a letter and I knew I returned a lot. My order history shows a 60% return rate in the last 12 months and I have never received a letter so who knows what criteria they use.
I suspect it is not only the return % but also how much you actually buy. If you buy ten items a year, and return six of them, that's only six returns. Six is hardly anything. If you buy 100 items and return six, that's no big deal. If you return 60%, that's 60 items that someone has to process.
I don't believe the letter is for people who return a lot if they don't buy much to start with. It's for people who buy a TSV in every color and three sizes, regularly, knowing they will only keep one item out of that large purchase.
