We've done a small boneless ham in addition before.

A roast is a good choice - either beef or pork.  The sides for the turkey work well with that.

A lot of people have ham too.

We have fried chicken, turkey and a honeybaked ham.  Everyone in his family likes something different.  Needless to say, we don't have to cook for two weeks after Thanksgiving ... even with sending food home with others.  LOL  Last year his dad even brought prime rib!

I have made beef tips and rice for Thanksgiving along with a turkey breast. My husband is not crazy about turkey. My sons like rice more than potatoes so this worked well for us.

Last year for our different meat my nephew did a beef tenderloin on the grill.  We have good weather here in Texas for things like that.  It was wonderful next to the turkey and dressing ect...........

Not sure what he is doing this year that is his job like mine is 5 pds. of chocolate peanut butter fudge since 1985.

Ham is a classic side, unless you have guests who don't eat ham.

I agree about either ham or prime rib.

Or - I'd probably go with whatever the people I am feeding prefer.  Smiley Happy

For Holidays we usually go with either Turkey, Ham, Prime Rib, Lamb, Lobster or Crabs, or a combo. I have no idea why I capitalized each of those words but don't feel like correcting it.
