My biggest struggle on that list is letting go of things I can't control. I hope I can work on this and really let go.

I too have an issue with letting things go that I can't control. I have the Serenity Prayer on my fridge so I can see it many times daily.I still have issues with control. Fortunately or unfortunately as this subject is concerned, my memory is very good and things linger in my thoughts. It is a work in progress and I am trying.

Funny thing is, I've learned that when I do successfully let go of some things I can't control, new situations just pop up anyway, that are equally disturbing. My list is long; it's life.

It's best for me to focus on controlling what I can, instead of what I can't. Just a positive outcome, here and there, can give me strength in coping with situations I have no control over. My goal is just to win, sometimes.

@BlueFinch

Isn't that the truth, a positive outcome gives us more strength in looking for the next win.

Win begets win and it's exponential, pretty soon it seems like more wins than not.

You're winning in the biggest way, by recognizing control what you can instead of what you can't.

Me too, very liberating isn't it.

Always be grateful.

Every day counts.

Wish me luck I am going to bake a pumpkin pie from scratch and hope I

can make it decent and presentable.

Happy Thanksgiving!

All wonderful sentiments.  I have never been a controlling person so to speak.  So at my age, knowing that I believe my Heavenly Father is in control, has brought me peace in many situations.  I have found that it works best for me.  😊

I like the list. However, I worked w/ a woman that was addicted to control and was a total control freak. She ruined business relationship and coworker relationships ( me) because of it. She inserted herself into everyone’s business. She was awful. Because of this I stay away from controlling people. Bad experience from it.
