I wanted to say that I am thankful for all of you who participate here.  I am thankful for the diversity--where we live, how we think, different faiths, ages and our personality and experience differences!  It makes for a wonderful stew!

I enjoy participating because we have differences, sometimes contentious but most often not.  It is how I broaden my thinking, learn new things, and have a place to laugh and ask for help when I need it, hope to give help to others and even recommendations for wash cloths!

What a joy and a blessing you all and this place to share are to me!  I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving week!

Thank you, Sooner, and a Happy Thanksgiving to you!!!  I agree with what you said about the forums and the posters who participate.  It is a diverse group from all over and it's fun, informative, supportive and most times uplifting to be a part of it.

I appreciate your enlightened post.  I wonder if anyone's staunchly-held beliefs have ever been moderated after reading a post espousing an opposing view?

@Sooner  -  Thank you for your heartfelt, warm, honest, and inspiring post. Weeks ago, and off and on through the times I've spent reading posts, I think very much the exact same thing! Sure people can be cranky at times, but life is cranky at times. It's just part of that mosaic of what we call life. The fact we are given the opportunity to post, debate, contribute, retract lol, and just vent if needed is a blessing. Yes, this is social media, but when you see how long some of you all have been posting, this site does have more of a "distant family" feel. So thank you for posting this beautiful sentiment.

And not to bring this down, but I know we are all remembering some of the beautifully fun and kind posters who had participated here but have now passed. They are missed but thought of with   

To Everyone Reading This... I too wish you all a very Healthy, Happy Thanksgiving filled with all you and yours dream of for that day and beyond.

@OneHappyHiker Thank you so much for mentioning those now gone who we miss so much.  I go back to the days of Choc and Chanel and Inky Dinky Doo and many others.

The best thing is that you realize how alike we can be and still differ on some things--but still be people we like and admire. 

I had a friend who ended arguments many times saying "Well, I could agree with that.  But then we'd both be wrong!" and a big laugh and pat on the back for the other person.  And go on to something they would enjoy talking about.
