@phoenixbrd wrote:@golding76 I heard conflicting information on two news channels. Originally one news station said the weakest were taken out first and about 15 minutes later another news chanel said that the weakest were taken out first. Both channels were reporting what a smart decision it was to take the strongest/weakest out first. I think it will take some time before the truth regarding some of the information is sorted out. Just grateful that the rescue is taking place!
CNN had an on-scene reporter giving information. It was also reported by a psychologist familiar with local authorities. As it appears by these reports, the kids themselves with their coach guiding them selected which boys would go first. They voted as a team to decide the order of rescue. It might have been the leadership of stronger or older kids deciding that the younger or weaker ones should go, or other factors, but it is being reported and commented on that the rescue order was determined by the trapped group themselves.
Fascinating group dynamics! (If true)

Four boys trapped in Thai cave were treated in the back of an ambulance as it drove them towards awaiting helicopters

**UPDATE**
Half of the soccer team trapped inside a flooded Thai cave have now been brought out after divers executed a carefully constructed rescue mission.
Only six of the stranded school boys will be evacuated tonight, the Thai Public Broadcast Service announced this evening. It reported: ‘Only six of the boys will be taken out tonight.’
The six other youngsters – and their coach – will remain underground tonight and be rescued tomorrow, the state-funded news agency said.
The condition of one of the first two boys rescued is 'causing concern', according to a senior health chief.
It's thought the starved and exhausted kids are currently being treated in hospital after they were flown in a military helicopter 35 miles away to be treated.
Pictures showed the youngsters being stretchered from ambulances to helicopters.
Thirty-five emergency doctors were waiting at Chiang Rai Prachanukroh hospital for their arrival."
