A couple of hundred a month. But I have kids, 16 and just turned 20. I sleep with my phone.
Sometimes daughter at college will text me late at night and I always take the opportunity to text back even IF I was already asleep. How did parents survive before cell phones! I am thankful we have them. Even as they turn 16 and are driving on their own, a simple one word, here, leaving eases my mind. ![]()
And I have a dentist, doctor and hair salon set up with text reminders of appointments.
At first I didn't swype . . . but now that I've learned it . . .I'm pretty good at it . . . although once in awhile auto correct can turn the most innocent word or phrase into a doozy . . . thankfully I catch most auto correct words, at least the worst ones. My phone, that the kids also hate . . . has the qwerty keyboard that slides out, but it is good enough for me.

I agree, Cakers!
Rude is rude.

That would be zero for me. Maybe if I ever upgrade to a smart phone, I'll change my mind. But for now, telephone and e-mail work fine for me.

Personally I'd rather pick up the phone and talk to the person than text. Just like writing things out on this board, I think a lot gets lost in the translation of texting because it's all just words on a screen.
It is kind of interesting that people who are essentially "texting" on message boards would be anti texting.
That's because I don't know you. I prefer to hear the voices of loved ones.
Everyone does, and that is just not always possible. Texting was a Godsend during deployments.

I text a ton, but it's mostly work related........but my phone allows me to speak the text, I don't have to "type" it out.........makes it easy and fast.......................raven
