Re: Terrier3...I need to know....

I used to have a ^Westie (not this one, just to show a Westie)....if they are correct to breed standard, they are very cute. Never had a Cairn, though........

My husband said my Yorkie sat like that the whole time I was in the store......! LOL

My Yorkie, waiting for me to come out of a store.....{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Oh your dog must be cute. My dog was shown, but as far as I know she didn't win any titles...I got her as a retired adult......as you can see, she could use a trim..

Oh, what a cutie-pie!!!

I'm at my office now and there are three dogs here most days.

I love having them around while I'm working.

Cute dogs! My daughters family has a fox terrier (who is a very good dog), and 2 other dogs that are Yorkies.

Re: Terrier3...I need to know....

I think I need a support group for new owners of terriers (terrier mixes)!

Seriously, how do you guys keep your terriers busy so they're not destructive? I think mine is a jack russell/pug mix. If I could hook him up to an energy storing device, I could power my house without using any electricity, I'm sure!

He never stops, hardly ever lies down, has destroyed tv remotes, wallets, blankets..pretty much anything left lying around is fair game for him.

I'm out of my league here but I'm not a quitter. Once I rescue a dog, he's mine.....but it sure is a challenge.

Re: Terrier3...I need to know....

A friend had a Jack Russell 100% pure bred. never in my life did I ever see a dog so destructive and disrupter That dog never quit destroyed every thing in the house. If it got out the door it went through the neighborhood after any other animal that it could find. Took it out to a neighbors farm it went after the cows, chickens, pigs, cats, and I mean actually ment to do bodily harm. This dog no matter how much money they spent trying to send it to dog school nothing worked. They got him from when he was a puppy finally turned him over to animal rescue and no matter who adopted him they ended up bringing him back no one could do any thing with him. Everyone was broken hearted but they gave it their best and spent a lot of money trying to get him to behave. He was just the cutest dog but totally almost destroyed every thing this family had in their home..

Re: Terrier3...I need to know....

I don't have a problem with my Yorkie. She's not hyper and she doesn't bark a lot. She basically wants to stay with me but she doesn't destroy things.

I've heard from many people that JR terriers are hard to handle!
