There you go, Longhorns and the Alamo.  TX girl!  My husband was stationed at Lackland AFB once upon a time.  I liked Texas --- still do.

Yes, Pennsylvania is one, and "The Beaver State" - Oregon is the other.

@alliswell   I do know the Beaver State.  I think I must have overlooked it.  It was getting late.  I liked this little game, must tell Housecat.  It was fun.

I once had a friend from Ohio and she would tell me about those Buckeyes she had for Christmas.  When it came Christmastime, she brought me a plate full.  They were peanut butter balls.  But I think they do look like buckeyes.  It didn't matter what she called them, I was happy to have a plate full.  I had really thought I was getting something that might break my teeth.  What a treat!!!

I think my Forum name makes it obvious what state I am in.

@newjerseygirl

I think it does but I think Springsteen is right proud of his home state and everyone who is a fan knows he is a Jersey boy.

Nope, the first one was referring to the City that Never Sleeps, NYC.

Lots of good clues on this thread, though there are a couple I can't figure out... "Almost Heaven" I was thinking Iowa in reference to "Field of Dreams" movie. Based on other comments I'm thinking that's wrong.

The other one. can't figure out is "Better Yet".

@house_cat

Vegas is famous for the city that never sleeps but if you had said the city whose so nice they named it twice, I would have known it was NYC --- the Big Apple.
