This noble looking creature is Jett who is a counter surfer supreme. He is known for his escapades stealing from the kitchen. He loves to get cans, especially soup, which he pierces with his teeth and laps up the liquid.

He is absolutely a very 'handsome' guy. He looks like he's a collie or either a sheltie; not sure, but he's beautiful.

We used to have a girl, Lizzy who was a rescue sheltie. We had her for 12 years, but she is now passed. She ended up having a lot of gum/teeth problems as she didn't like chew toys.

He's a purebred collie. This coloration is called "tri color". The face of a sheltie is more fox-like. Jett weighs 82lbs. He's a big boy.

Thanks. He's a gorgeous boy and I love his name. I've had several shelties, but never a tri color. I've had the sables and one blue merle. Many years ago, we had an Alaskan Malamute named Findlay. She was quite the handful however and when we went on walks, she usually "took me" LOL

I don't have one now, but i have been dreaming of Parson's Jack Russell since we lost our dog 7 years ago. I just don't know if I am good enough for one, LOL!

Well .... he's a boxer and he's nutty. Right now he is demanding my attention with his toys. Smile Oh, and he has us trained well.

Preds, my elderly neighbor has a Boxer named Roxie, about 8 years old, and I've taken care of her a lot over the last several years. My neighbor has had health problems and has had to be in the hospital or nursing home several times, so I've cared for Roxie (running back and forth next door) for weeks at a time. I never used to care that much for big dogs, I was a little poodle person, but I fell in love with her! I think I've worried as much about her and her welfare as much as I have my own animals..she's such a sweetheart! You're lucky to be owned by a Boxer!{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Yes I am.{#emotions_dlg.wub} You are lucky to have one as your special buddy. Thank you for loving her.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

Re: Tell me about your dog - anything

When I was in Kindergarten and first grade, I had a little terrier mix dog named Frisky that knew what time I got out of school and would come to meet me about two blocks from my house.

In those days, there were no leash laws or licenses. Most dogs just ran free, kids could walk to school by themselves, too. My school was about a mile or so away and not just a straight walk to it.

Anyway, one day Frisky wasn't there to meet me. She had gone to sleep in someone's driveway and was run over. I cried for days.......

I can talk about all my dogs from present day to the past. The smartest was a female German Shep. that adopted our family. ( she left an abusing family and moved in with us ) She could turn doorknobs with her teeth to open doors! We were told her name was Jeanette- come to find out, it was Gillette(?). I can go on and on about her and her first born pup. My children grew up with them and to this day we get tears in our eyes talking about them!

Re: Tell me about your dog - anything

I used to drop my young border collie puppy, Joe, at daycare each morning and pick him up each afternoon. The summer was getting hot so the daycare provided a wading pool. At the afternoon pickup, the lady said to me "Joe will not go near the pool." I watched as Joe sat far away and just watched the other dogs bathing and playing in the water. We tried to coax him a few times, but no way was he going near it. I didn't give it much more thought and we went home.

The next morning I drive into daycare. Joe, jumps out of the car, runs into the play yard and gets into the pool with the other dogs.

My question is this: What did he do? Did he think about it all night and decide to go in the next day? lol This has become a pattern with him. He never indulges in anything before he has time to think about it.

Joe my border collie, does not like to fill up on carbs. I prepared two grilled cheese sandwiches and left them on the counter. When I went back a while later to fry them, both sandwiches were open and the cheese was missing on both. Not the bread. Just the cheese.

He's a wire fox terrier, dreadfully spoiled & lovable. Doesn't like other dogs, but is very patient with our 5 rescued cats. Our Tortie is his favorite.

Re: Tell me about your dog - anything

I have 3 Shelties. My Halo is the most wonderful, intuitive well behaved girl. She was a wild puppy and I never thought she would be like the dog that I regretfully lost but Halo has filled those shoes and then some. When she was 1 year old, still a baby, I got very sick with the flu. I could not lay on the bed because I could not breath laying down. I slept in the recliner and this very active 1 year old wild Sheltie stayed by my side for an entire week, never asking to play and did not disturb me. I took her out when I could. I realized she was really special then and continues to be. My dog trainer says "She reads my emotions". She does, when I cry she is there licking my face until I laugh. I love her so very much. Abby my youngest. She was very fearful when I got her at 8 weeks but with training and agility, we have worked through a lot of her fears. Abby stirs the other 2 up. She is the instigator, always wanting to play a chase game. Abby is very pretty and I love her very much. At 2 Abby is finally getting close to me emotionally. She had so many fears she was a little aggressive growing up. I am glad I got her because I have experience training and she could have easily ended up in a shelter the way she was growling at me when she was growing up. She is very alpha and I had to show her who was boss. Chance is my rescue Sheltie, I just got him 3 months ago. He is 2 and very sweet. He loves to cuddle but does not want a kiss on the head, he is getting it though and realizing a kiss on the head is not that bad. I still don't know how he ended up in a Shelter but in his 2 1/2 years, I am his 4th and final owner. The only thing I can figure out is he is vocal, like may Shelties but that is ok too. I love them all very much.
