Tell me about your dog - anything

Dead or alive. I want to hear about your dog.

Well .... he's a boxer and he's nutty. Right now he is demanding my attention with his toys. Smile Oh, and he has us trained well.

Re: Tell me about your dog - anything

This was posted on "Pictures of Just Cats" today, and I just made this comment about my sweet baby I lost 13 years ago:

kitty boots. For when you think you're having a bad day.

My giggles for today! This reminds me of when I had a little white miniature poodle, and we put boots on her and put her out in snow up to her tummy! I thought my son and I were going to fall over laughing...and then we felt bad because we laughed at her. Her name was Sugar, lived to be 18 - she was my last canine baby and my forever sweetheart ...{#emotions_dlg.wub}{#emotions_dlg.unsure}{#emotions_dlg.wub}

This noble looking creature is Jett who is a counter surfer supreme. He is known for his escapades stealing from the kitchen. He loves to get cans, especially soup, which he pierces with his teeth and laps up the liquid.

My dog's middle name is B. and what it represents depends of what he is doing or not doing at any particular time.

Preds, my elderly neighbor has a Boxer named Roxie, about 8 years old, and I've taken care of her a lot over the last several years. My neighbor has had health problems and has had to be in the hospital or nursing home several times, so I've cared for Roxie (running back and forth next door) for weeks at a time. I never used to care that much for big dogs, I was a little poodle person, but I fell in love with her! I think I've worried as much about her and her welfare as much as I have my own animals..she's such a sweetheart! You're lucky to be owned by a Boxer!{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

He is absolutely a very 'handsome' guy. He looks like he's a collie or either a sheltie; not sure, but he's beautiful.

We used to have a girl, Lizzy who was a rescue sheltie. We had her for 12 years, but she is now passed. She ended up having a lot of gum/teeth problems as she didn't like chew toys.

Re: Tell me about your dog - anything

My current boy had big shoes to follow. My old boy Bandit was the smartest dog I ever owned. He was very well trained and could put him on an off leash down stay five feet away from ducks and he would never budge. His vocabulary was extremely large and would do the appropriate behavior as the conversation led him. My current boy Morgan does take the empty plastic bottles to the recycling bin and drop them inside. I am partial to working thinking breeds and like to channel their energies into something fun and useful.

Oh I am so glad you asked!!!! I like talking about my Milo almost as much as talking about my grandchildren. He looks like this:

And he is such a scamp. He LOVES to chew up stuffed toys. He will go into a room and lift his head and sniff as if he is on the trail of an animal. We just adore him. And he tolerates us!
