Does anyone have a product they have used that they like and has worked? I have tried strips ( I didn't like), I always use whitening toothpaste, I am currently using the Caliwhite product which comes with the blue light ( I have to wonder if the light is safe for your eyes). I find it to be kind of a pain, I've done it twice so far, the directions say to use it between 5-10 days straight. I even once wasted my money on a custom kit I got from my dentist ( he made me custom trays and cost a lot of money and didn't work).

I use my custom trays with IntelliWhite Platinum Pens. My teeth are so white that my dentist told me that they were on the very end of the scale on a dental color chart used to match crowns and composite fillings. They are very white.

I have used Supersmile for at least 10 years.   People always comment on my white teeth and have turned on so many friends to Supersmile.   Dental hygienist last month even asked me what I use and said she has never seen teeth as white.  I think these products work better on some than others for whatever reason so might not work the same for you.

If you use fluoride products, such as toothpaste and mouthwash, you should be applying your whitening products before using the fluoride. The reason is b/c fluoride blocks the action of the whitening (peroxide) by filling in the pores on tooth enamel (dentin tubules). Your whitening product will work much better when it can penetrate the enamel to where the stains are. That's what a dental hygienist told me years ago.

Some teeth that are discolored due to aging can't be whitened with OTC products.

Per teeth link.JPG

"As you age, the outer layer of enamel on your teeth gets worn away exposing the yellow dentin. Your tooth dentin also grows as you age, which decreases the size of the pulp. The translucency of the tooth reduces, making it look darker."

Rinse before brushing with hydrogen peroxide.  Game changer.

Honorable mention to Cali White B-12 toothpaste and white strips.

Like another poster, I have naturally white teeth but using whitening products bump the whiteness to the far end of the whiteness scale.  Supersmile works GREAT for me.  I think it is a product that works best if your teeth already are naturally white.  Once in a great while, I'll use whitening strips to just bump the whiteness a bit more, but honestly?  I'm really not sure I need to do that; I detect only a minimal amount of extra whiteness by doing that.  As @SilleeMee stated, whitening products like strips are supposed to be used on dirty teeth.  I always use them before I brush.

Rinsing with 1/2 water and 1/2 hydrogen peroxide is the best I found.

I use Crest Strips but only the newest version. I don't use them for days in a row. I use them as needed. I like coffee so touch up as needed.

It's amazing to see how much brown/coffee comes off when wiping your teeth with a tissue after drinking a cup of coffee.
