Teaching reading to elementary students....

I'm wondering about your opinions on how to best teach reading to elementary students. How were you taught? Do you think that was the best way? Teachers, what do you use? What are you opinions on it?

Any other thoughts and/or opinions regarding how reading is taught in elementary schools would be appreciated! Smiley Happy
