I'm looking for ideas, for personal challenge and when I've had victories over weight loss. I've been on Pinterest and I've seen and gotten some ideas to use for myself and if what I found is what teacher's use, thought I'd see what teachers here have or are using. Thanks.
I'm not thrilled with how WW is doing things right now in the classes, but going for seeing other friends and learning some things, something is missing in how they have the leaders teach now. (At least to me). I know it's hard to keep coming up with stuff to encourage a group to keep coming and keep losing, I just feel something more is missing. So I want my own incentive updated and to challenge myself. Maybe some of your ideas will help others too.
Thanks!

In kindergatren we use stickers (you could use them too!) or put money in a jar for pounds lost/ each goal met, buy a cute exercise outfit, new exer.shoes, a top or pr. of pants in next size down etc. ![]()

Wow. I'm stumped. I've never been to a WW or anything like that. Do the ladies have psychological issues? Maybe they need to voice a thing or two.

Apparently you need ideas for adults~~perhaps try one of these:
As a post-secondary educator, an incentive for milestones achieved in an adult evening class, recipients were awarded a painted wooden item (using my folk-art skills) of a note holder or keychain for "spare key" with the college’s logo. For your group, the word “Believe” or “Winning” is a motivator!
For my Sunday school class, children received handcrafted zipper pullers. Parents also love using these zipper pullers (made from bejeweled beads and lanyard from local craft store) on insulated grocery cooler tote bags. Any of these items mentioned above can have a “gift certificate” attached to it, or the tote bag idea can be filled with “sensible snacks”!

Your incentive to lose weight should be to be in better health and look better in your clothes. That should be incentive enough or am I missing something.

Wow, get over yourself! She asked for ideas not a lecture. Losing weight can be a long process and incentives can make it more fun.

How about a gratitude jar? Everyday you write something you are grateful for and put in the jar ...Can be anything that made your day positive. Make sure you decorate the outside jar to make fun and appealing.
Some people start on New Years Day and wait until Thanksgiving and then read them back, to reflect back on your year. I think you can start anytime and read them every month or two.
This would be great positive motivator for kids in the classroom too. Save them until the end of the school year... then the kids have this to reflect back on their year.

Um, where do you think that ALL obsessions, compulsions, and addictive behaviors come from?
---
The problem is that most people with these anxiety and stres-induced disorders can't/won't change their lifestyle and behaviors until they make a deep-rooted emotional breakthrough.
And then learn to love and like themselves.

Well excuse me, I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers or offend, but that's how I feel about weight loss. No need to attack because some one has a different take on things.

You're excused. Yes, you were missing something.
