I see no cogent or coherent explanation for what "damaging the economy" means in terms of Taylor Swift.

That was the most absurdly ridiculous statement.

I could care less about TS & her plane. She earned her money & she can spend it. I envy her because I’d give anything to travel by private jet. We travel a lot & commercial planes are just not reliable to get you where you want to go on time. I traveled on a corporate jet when I worked & could leave from our local airport, no lines, always on time & a lot of space.

I do care that she’s a distraction at football games. I love football & the camera tuned in on her is annoying. I do think she’s overly dramatic & I don’t even know if she likes the game. You can see her looking at the camera so a lot seems to be a performance imho

Well as so many are fond of saying here, it's a discussion forum so you're going to get opinions. I'd say any suggestion of " mistreatment" here is a real stretch.

I've experienced and witnessed mistreatment on these forums for many years and sorry but this isn't that.

People are often "forgiving" of celebrities because we ALL leave a carbon footprint .... and aren't perfect.

You can't compare what someone else does to what you do ... when the lives are completely different.

I think you also need to factor in WHAT ELSE those nasty celebrities do. So they use a smaller-than-commercial-size private plane to travel here and there.

However, MANY have chartiable foundations that give large amounts of money to very good causes ... I bet you don't do that regularly, do you?

@Tinkrbl44 Probably a bigger percentage of my income than an awful lot of them do! And if you don't think they benefit financially from a charitable foundation I am here to tell you they absolutely do. And where I worked, I saw it.

I feel quite sure of that and also sure you have absolutely no knowledge of what I do are don't do. All you have is that I don't always agree with YOU so it's all my bad. And I stand by the fact that celebrities often are excused for bad behavior because they are famous.
