The 70s are back for sure it is certainly a trend among the younger generation
personally I don't like them especially on woman
I tell my daughter that's what they make jewelry for ...
thankfully she agrees

A huge NO for me but I admit, I'm in the minority as far as tats go. I don't get it. Now that I see them on the some over 70 folks, even some over 60's; I know I'm right. As the skin slackens with age or as people lose weight; some ugly stuff can happen with tatoos.

The only tats that bother me are prison & gang related, I see them often where I volunteer....there are organizations that will remove them for free when the decision is made to change & have a productive life. Everyday tats are mainstream, I may notice them but no judgement...their body, their choice.

I don't care for tattoos on men, but I really dislike them on women!
Tattoos detract from a woman's natural beauty.
I don't understand the motivation for getting a tattoo.
Give me clean, untouched skin......it's especially tragic to see a young, pretty girl in a wedding gown with tattoos showing.

Tragic??? Wow!! What a bizarre thing to say!! Anyone's tatts don't affect you in any way at all!!
Why would anyone care what others do or don't do??

I actually AM a live & let live person so I say - your body, your choice. I don't understand making a judgment call. I don't have tattoos, nor does my husband, but so what. I'm not going to judge either way because it's not for me to decide what others should do with their bodies.
Some tattoos are lovely. Why don't I have any? Never much thought about it, but it seems that it really hurts and I have enough pain already. It's ok - my body, my choice. That should apply across the board and I don't see others as less than if they have tattoos. That would be kind of awful.

So far I have one and I lucked out with the artist. Having worked with him - he was an artist that visited Michigan from the great state of California - I am now kind of spoiled and would like future work also done by him.

I never understand the purpose of these types of threads? What difference does it make who has a tat and who doesn't?
If you don't want one, don't get one, but why make people who have them , be subjected to this type of thing? Is it just so they can hear about ,how much others dislike them?

Got my first one at age 50! No regrets at this age; just the opposite. Experienced a significant loss in my 30's. My tribute or "in memoriam" tattoo has done more to heal me than anything I tried in the past 25 years. Tattoos are expressions. They aren't for everyone but they are typically very personal to the "canvas".

The world is awash with very talented tatoo artists. I don't want one. I don't care one way or the other if other people get them but I admit to cringing a little when my granddaughter got one. It made her happy so grandma can be happy with that. The one thing that makes me sad about tat-world is too often young mothers who have many are unemployed. But again, none of my business and I suppose it is a means to say "I matter". No different that living in a shack and driving a Caddy. Choices in a free society.
