Cute once or even twice but after seeing it multiple times, I'm over it. Sure hope this isn't Target's only commercial for the season.

Love the holiday commercials. love the song and the little girl is adorable. The lawyer commercials annoy me the most!

I think it's sweet and perfect for the holiday season. Sort of a Babes in Toyland meets Alice in Wonderland theme. The little girl is adorable and there are far more annoying commercials out there.

hi joey.....it doesnt say it was written in 1963, it says it was recorded by that particular singer on the commercial (darlene love) in 1963 and was included on an album she released.
it was written in 1949.
i have been enjoying the commercial! it is getting me in the mood for the holidays.

OMG, I love this commercial...very clever and well done by Target. There are actually two versions of this commercial - a shorter and longer version. My favorite is the longer version when after the little girl throws the marshmallow into the dinosaur's mouth, she snaps her fingers. So cute! Gotta love the Target dog walking up the path in the little booties. I can see how a great commercial can lose its appeal if they overplay it too much, however, for me personally I never get tired of Christmas commercials. I love, love, love Dean Martin's version of the song, Marshmallow World. I used to have it on my old cell phone as a ringtone during the holidays.

Yes, I looked it up also. It was written in 1949 by Carl Sigman (lyrics) and Carl DeRose (music). It was sung by several famous people including Dean Martin that I remembered. I love that song, especially when I was young.
I just viewed the Target commercial for this year on YouTube. It's really cute. It's not out yet where we live and I'm looking forward to it. The nearest Target is 100 miles away from us. bummer.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I agree about the dumb bacon commercial -- really can't stand that!

I hadn't seen the commercial so I found it on Youtube. I thought it was cute and very well done (and I'm not a fan of Target nor Alice in Wonderland). I loved it when the little girl was ice skating in those oversized skates. I've only seen it the one time but I may be like the others and tire of it easily if I see it a lot!
