My current siggy is from Wordsworth, "Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood".

It is comforting to me, a sort of remembrance to the people I have lost.

Q does not allow enough characters to include the line that precedes it, but it really belongs with the verse. It is

"What though the radiance which was once so bright, be now for ever taken from my sight"

We're on the same wavelength again, BB, my cat-loving sista. 8)

I saw this great quote again when I was first diagnose with fibro. over a decade ago, and it was eloquently inscribed on the first page of an excellent fibro. self-help book.

I think that it also really applies to any physical or emotional situation, as a coping mechanism. Sort of like saying 'don't concentrate on what you can longer do, but what you can still do'. Modifications can many times be made, plus there's always new things to try.

I change mine all the time. This latest one was from last week, when Prince William took his son to a play date with about ten other babies. I could just picture him saying that, and the expression on his face!

I really enjoy many of the siggies here.

I love that, too. It holds a special meaning for something I experienced.

It's also quoted in one of my favorite "old" movies, "Splendor in the Grass." :-)

I wanted something simple that espressed the way I feel about my life and my friends. My life is like a wonderful salad with all kinds of yummy things (like 4 beautiful daughters and a wonderful hubby) in it. I know everyone doesn't like bacon bits but I love them!! Thus my friends (bacon bits) make by life (salad) taste even better

OK not sure that makes sense but you get the idea.

Sylviahomeatlast refers to our cat ( the 2 golden retrievers and Sylvia are named for poets) ---we adopted her from the pound when she was 6-7 weeks old---how could anyone relinquish such a sweet baby?? thus ---Sylvia home at last---I change my ""quotes"" periodically---I get them from poems---mine and others' ---my spirit is complete--and authentic--just the way I am
