I really enjoyed reading this thread! I like reading siggies along the way -- discovered a wealth of humor and even some wisdom in many of them.

Mine is in memory of my beloved best friend, my DH. It was Mark Twain's loving eulogy to his dear daughter, adapted from poetry by Robert Richardson. I change mine from time to time, when the spirit moves me.

Mine is new. It's a phrase I used in a contentious thread here the other day and a few suggested I make it my siggy, so I did.

I'm still laughing at that one Deb!

Mine's a quote I've always liked to remind me to see the magic all around us in every day life like children do (:

Mine encapsulates a key part of my overall approach to life. I'm very much a ""live and let live"" person.

I wanted something simple that espressed the way I feel about my life and my friends. My life is like a wonderful salad with all kinds of yummy things (like 4 beautiful daughters and a wonderful hubby) in it. I know everyone doesn't like bacon bits but I love them!! Thus my friends (bacon bits) make by life (salad) taste even better

OK not sure that makes sense but you get the idea. Smile

Yes, that makes perfect sense. And I LOVE bacon bits! {#emotions_dlg.wub}

I change mine all the time. It's usually self-explanatory.

My favorite textbooks in graduate school were written by Dr. William Ury. A good man and modern-day hero of mine. [Harvard Business School of Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution - Mediation] Ury originated the Abraham Project in the Middle East where conversations regarding unity between Jews / Muslims / Christians are sought by first discussing the one thing they have in common -- Father Abraham.

"Silver Fox" -- actually it's my nickname and my hair is silver

“... We don't meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our path for a reason..." -- I truly believe people come into our lives for a reason. Meeting some people on line both here and in other forums support my belief. If I can encourage or show compassion to someone along the way it's well worth the effort and time spent. In turn, I receive encouragement and support from others and that makes it all worthwhile.
