Someone said they look at the poster's name before they read the post.  I'm the opposite.  I'll start reading a post and wonder, "Who is writing this bit of wisdom?" and then I'll look for the poster's name.  Many times I'll start reading and think, "I bet this is (insert name here)" just based on the post.  Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm surprised.

Anyway, my post, my opinion.  Nobody needs to agree.

Agree, the written word can be misinterpreted so easily.  We all have our own writing/posting style.  Sometimes in a rush or trying to paraphrase twe can come off as cold and impersonal, tactless, etc.  One of the reasons, I liked @Annabellethecat66.  She may write lengthy posts, but I always knew where she stood and her warmth came thru.

@Allegheny. ITA. I’d rather read a lengthy, but meaningful post than a shorter snarky one. We’re free to skip over posts that we don’t like and not comment at all. Novel idea, right?

I believe the OP meant she was "zapped" by another poster, not the Mods.  

It was one of the worse accusatory posts I have ever read on here.

i am confused then. how can a poster ZAP another poster? also, if the entire thread is gone how do we know exactly what happened or what the tone of it was?
