According to the girls father, she is back living w/him & her siblings.
The father was on NBC national news Monday.
"School records showed the girl often relied on Cummins "like a friend and a counselor" when she became upset or anxious at school."
"Never argue with a fool. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."

No such thing as she went with him willingly. She is a minor and by law she cannot give consent to go with him willingly.

This one has Dr. Phil written all over it...
@queendiva I couldn't agree more. When I read about this earlier today all I could think of was could this situation get any sadder? That poor girl was failed on so many, many levels both in and outside of her home and at the risk of sounding snarky you know Dr. Phil and crew are burning up the phone lines to get the exclusive (and exploit her once again) . . . ![]()

Sadly, lots of moms aren't meant to be mothers.
At least, her kidnapping has brought light to the awful situation at her home. The others will hopefully be spared from that monster of a mother. Lots to be done there at that household.

To repeat, no one condones the kidnapping, the law is the law,
but before someone reads this & twists your words,
I totally understand what you are saying...and I agree.
For some, in particular cases, "wrong is right".

Lot's of possible scenarios. My dad left my sister and me with our mother who was mentally ill and the house was a nightmare. He felt, mistakenly that her anger was centered on him and that if he left the situation would diffuse. Not so, anger now transferred to us. Interestingly enough, it seemed to be more important than anything else that we not talk about our situation to anyone else but kept it "family business." That worked until my sister asked the priest connected with the parochial school if she could apply for a foster family. My dad, I should say, was totally overwhelmed with the whole thing - poor guy - who signed up for this? Home life was like living in hell.

Like Oprah once said - "what we do to our children"

The poor girl was failed by everybody!! Her abusive mother. Her father didn't do anything to protect her or the other kids in the household. The predator teacher who took her.
At this point until this mess is straightened out the girl needs to be removed from her fathers care & placed in a safer environment. She needs long term therapy. She also
needs a loving patient guardian who will have her back through the long process!!
What a sad depressing story!!

In my mind I picture the mom as being an over-powering, bully-type person who ruled over everyone in her domain. @panda1234
