I eat when I'm on the computer or watching tv. Been doing it for a long time.

I honestly never heard this before .... I assume there are times you want to think about something and the TVs are "noise"? My mother used to say she needed to hear herself think. She was a big fan of peace and quiet, lol.

I guess I am the exception.......I watch virtually no tv and I always prepare dinner and eat
in the dining room .....I turn on the tv from 6-7 to watch local and national news. I watch very little at night and NEVER watch anything but crime shows and "reality " tv
i get nothing but local channels and nothing else.....When my DH was alive it was Fox
News and football but when he died I got rid of everything.
In the middle of the day, I watch 2 soap operas (Y AND T R and BB)......they are my
escapism.........

The tv is off if my grandson is with us or if I "slaved over a hot stove" for a special meal. Otherwise, it's on but we can still talk.

Oh, and I must mention weekend football games viewed with lots of "tailgating" snacks--nacho platters, tacos, chili, etc., with all our windows open , enjoying the cool air (Florida).
We watch while eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have an Island with a table for two attached to the side of it. Works perfect.

Rarely. Only if my husband isn't home, which even then rarely. Most of what is on television gives me heartburn so I avoid it while I am eating.🥺

Ever since the kids were little, meal time was family time. So we have just continued that over the years. We are forced to talk to each other!!! ha ha

Yes, my husband and I always watched TV while we ate. We had a TV in the kitchen.

Not very often. The tv isn't on very often unless we need to watch the weather or something special. No network shows we watch regularly, not movie fans, and only stream church. I've lost interest in cooking shows too.

No, we don't have a TV close by.
Some times tho we do listen to the radio.
