We know TV ads have always been loud and often obnoxios. I am noticing that most all of them have amped up their background noise with brain-piercing sounds from the high-pitched to scrambled noise to heavy drumming or any combination that surpasses all that have gone before.
The voice-over will sound calm enough but the use of those backgrounds to force the brain to take notice in headache-formulating shocks is too much.
The only ad I noticed today not like that was one of those attorney-will-represent-you ads.
Notice the background noise -- you'll hear the intrusion into our brains -- either that or my brain was infiltrated by something else.
