Because nobody buys anything made anywhere but the USA, right?

Exactly. When it suits them, it's okay to buy something made in China. When you don't like the person or the item, Chinese items are horrible.

Selective hypocrisy...

I am guilty of buying a lot of things from China. However, I prefer my jewelry to come from Italy if I am lucky enough to find something I love. However, since we are a global economy I think we just have to expect that China is going to supply us with things. Just makeup I am leery of purchasing from China....that and any kind of pet food.

Agreed serenity I am careful with those things as well and I would love to see manufacturing come back to the USA...I think our livelihood depends on it...but taxes are too high and we buy based on price...so not sure what the answer is.

I agree with you and really don't have a solution...

LOL! I thought it as snakes too. Didn't realize the hearts. The open at the top is right on trend. You'll notice bracelets have been doing that for a while...open on top.
I don't care for it. Used to love Ripka stuff. Nowadays I kind of yawn.
BUT that's just my taste. I can see it on someone else with long lovely fingers and a killer manicure.

Free shipping on pieces with an inflated retail price - probably 400x the cost to produce it in China.
I'll pass.
I didn't check. I thought she had factories in Thailand... now she is producing jewelry from China?
The only jewelry of Judith's I've ever seen made in China were some of the watches.
All her other stuff was always made in Thailand. But posters are always commenting on her stuff being made in China because they don't know and it's another dig at her.
There are sweatshops in Thailand too....they don't manufacture there because of the quality of the work.
BTW - I try very hard to consciously not buy Chinese stuff. I buy a lot of second hand furniture, dishware, etc. and Homer Laughlin if I need new pieces. I also have Mosser glassware.
My sofa & loveseat were new, made at the Stickley factory in Manlius NY.
