Wondering if anyone has had any problems with the clasp on the diamonique bracelet????

The bracelet is beautiful, however, the box clasp won't hold.  It is only secured by the safety clasps.  Is mine the only defective one?

They’re talking about the clasp not working correctly on Facebook also.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

That’s a big disappointment but the Q will make it right.

Re: TSV Bracelet Clasp

[ Edited ]

I read a lot of that as well.  However mine works just fine.  I have an idea what the problem may be. Mine would not stay closed either until I realized I needed to push down on the clasp button, squeeze it down a little, while pushing one end into the other.  Then let it go, and it is then securely closed and stays closed.  The double safety catch can then be closed on either side, and it’s perfect.

At first I too thought it would not stay closed, but when I did it the way I described above it worked wonderfully.  I hope this works for everyone who has it, and that I didn’t just get lucky.

UPDATE:  Well that didn't last long. Smiley Sad

I got one day of wear out of that beautiful bracelet.  The 2nd day it broke!!

At the area near the clasp are 4 stationary diamonique stones that do not move like the other individual setting stones on the bracelet.  That connection of the sterling silver (with plated gold in my version) between that 4-stone-clasp, and the next diamonique stone on the bracelet is apparently very, very thin.  That's where it broke off.  I wasn't even doing anything, just sitting at my desk at home and the next thing I knew it fell on the floor.  Returning, and already called customer service about it.

Thanks so much for your suggestion.  I immediately tried that, repeatedly, to no avail.  I am disappointed because the bracelet is lovely.

I suppose it will go back tomorrow.  Hopefully, they will make the necessary corrections and replace it with a working clasp.

Thank you again for trying to help.

I think the clasp was a little tricky, but I have been wearing my bracelet for several hours and it has stayed on.

Yes, Beth, it is.  The box and tongue won't stay closed.  I tried someone's suggestion, but, it didn't work.  I hope that it can be fixed or replaced by one that works.

Those box clasps can easily be adjusted either by you or a jeweler.  I don't have the bracelet but if it's like most of them, the tongue is a V-8shaped piece that needs to be widened lightly so it fits more firmly in the slot of the clasp.  Because silver is soft, it needs adjusting from time to time.  The figure 8 safety can also be adjusted.  Every jewelry lover should own a jeweler's pair of pliers with which to make these adjustments.  Very inexpensive in crafts at Walmsrt.
