Your kind words are very much appreciated.  I started looking at the forums to find items for my fiancee and daughters for gifts.  After coming here a few times, I learned there was very wise people here to share information on all subjects.  The money I saved by intelligent women telling me certain items of jewelry were not worth the price saved me tons of money.  Everyone seemed to be kind enough to WANT to help.   When the weather is good I am always at the airport but the guys there would have no idea on earth how to guide me on making surprise purchases.  As a single father, I love to purchase my daughters items that are surprises versus always items they pick out. It is hard when your children have lost their mother.   You do not know how much everyone's help here has meant to me.   I appreciate everyone's input even when you advice me a purchase is not wise.  Smiley Very Happy

@INDIANA BONES,   I am interested in what you say and how you say it..... I do not want to be mean to you in any way....but I would like to know what Sign you are?

If you do not want to answer I will understand.   But what Sign are you? (smile)

Had to look this one up. HA HA.  Libra

I would amend this to say that any thread started to ask advice or opinions on any subject is considered an open invitation by the insult vultures to fly in and roost. They are delighted when they can form a group within the thread and will spend many happy hours attempting to shred people, make people doubt themselves, or feel bad about themselves; it's their part-time job/hobby.

true but some don't even recognize they do this.

Oh...I think they do.

I will learn slowly but surely what to post here.  If I ever offend anyone, please tell me.

@Preds

Good luck on all you have planned to do this weekend.  We may both be grumpy by the end of the night.  Too bad we will not make the money Grumpy the cat has made.  ROFL.

I know I will think about this the next time I ever post anything.  I certainly did not mean anyone harm or would be able to sleep if I thought I had hurt anyone's feelings.  We never know what people are going through at home and what their personal lives are like.  I guess I should compliment the ones that defended my fiancee when they thought I had issues with her hoarding.  That could be considered kind.  There is good in everyone is you look hard enough (or I hope so).

To some extent, it depends upon the area you post in. You are most likely to be challenged and met with routine rudeness on a daily basis in Community Chat, less so in the other forums, but you never know when/where the Deliberate Downers will show up.

I'm sorry that happened to you, Moroco!  That's the problem with anonymous message boards, people feel free to be rude.  On anonymous message boards there are women pretending to be men, men pretending to be women, people with multiple screen names, sometimes having "feuds" between their own multiple screen names, people lying about their age, occupation, financial status, location, health, etc...  You have to take everything you read with a grain of salt.  And try not to take anything personally, althought I know that's easier said than done!  Try to ignore the bullies.  Sending you a hug!  Smiley Happy

I mean no offense by this comment, but, have you seen the roads with rudeness?  Those people are not anonymous, nor are the ones in grocery stores, retail stores and work.  Oh, I forgot the gym. Rudeness is "the new normal"

Re: TROLL? Why be rude to others?

IG I think I have officially become a member of the forum from what I have read.  I guess as a troll, I want to be a Brain surgeon making 8 digits salary a year with a Barbie doll wife.  Of course my home is almost 100,000 square feet but the staff keeps it clean.

In actuality, I will be happy keeping the middle class life I have.  Heart

Thanks for the helpful tip.   I truly have never paid attention to what area I was in but will certainly do so in the future.  So you girls/guys have to go through this with often?  How sad life is.

i apologize on behalf of any rude poster here because i have found you to be a very nice and polite person.  it is shameful behavior and there is no excuse for it.

please don't allow posters who are rude to upset or chase you away.  they are not worth it.

Ladyroxanne is a very good name for you.  You are certainly every inch a lady.  Thank you for your kind words.   Let us hope that we all can get along and if not IGNORE POSTS.  We need to use the manners we teach our children and I will include myself in that comment.

I couldn't agree more, Ladyroxanne is a sweetheart!!  Lots of great people here.

You are probably correct for many parts of the country.  I myself hope I can continue to be the abnormal smiling and speaking to everyone I meet.
