I think Paul Newman's brand should be mentioned here. It's been around longer that most of the above. Brand also does charitable giving.

Interesting!
I buy nothing from this list.....not into supporting Hollywood names I guess.

@Laura14 wrote:I wonder how they defined celebrity owned. How can Mint Mobile (Ryan Reynolds) not be on the list? It's a billion dollar company and counting with T-Mobile's upcoming buyout.
I thought Ryan Reynolds was just a paid spokesperson for that company, and does their commercials. Do you believe he owns it?

Just curious ... do you think anyone in any type of entertainment (actor, singer, author, etc) is a "Hollywood" celebrity?

@Tinkrbl44 I know he had an ownership stake before T-Mobile offered to buy it out for billions of dollars. If that's complete, then he's a former owner which may be why he didn't make the list.

I didn't know that.
The "top ten" is about corporate earnings, not who the celebrity is.
I'm not sure, but I am assuming this also means either wholly-owned or have a majority position in ownership.
There are many celebrities who have invested in companies, but don't have major ownership. They are just stockholders.

Ryan Reynolds sold Mint Mobile in March 2023 for 1.3 billion. If that disqualifies him from this list then Dr. Dre should not be on it either. He sold Beats several years ago to Apple for over 3 billion.

Just think: What if even half of what each of us spends on beauty went to relief funds from these people suffering from the hurricane?
Now that would be a truly beautiful thing! ![]()
