It is ironic that Lebron James just passed Kobe's scoring record last night. Lebron said that Kobe was one of his idols. He was one of the greats.

We actually have a rich family who flies their four kids via helicopter to a private school from their ranch out in the country. Really. The helicopter is huge and literally rattles the windows as it flies to the airport near our neighborhood, the driver picks up the kids, and takes them to school, then is flown back to the ranch. I don’t trust helicopters either!

At least one of his daughters was playing basketball and he was taking his daughters to WNBA games.

Kobe won an Oscar in 2018 for best animated short film for the movie Dear Basketball.

This is so sad, I am in shock..  Enjoyed watching him play.  His playing reminded me of Michael Jordan..  Can't believe this has happened...  41 years old is too young to die.

How sad. There were no survivors, and it's reported that five died in the crash.

I don't follow basketball but, of course, knew who he was. He seemed like an affable fellow. I used to like listening to him speak fluent Italian.

Terrible news..I'm shocked and saddened to hear about this tragedy... 

Kobe posted this 16 hours ago to his Instagram, congratulating LeBron James for surpassing him on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
