Last week, "Royal Fashion News" posed the question-- what tiaras will Camilla and Kate bring out of the vault for King Charles' first state dinner as monarch, for the President of South Africa?
Answer:
Catherine wore the Lover's Knot Tiara, also a favorite of Diana, Princess of Wales. (History of tiara: It was commissioned by stylish Queen Mary in 1913). The creamy pearl and diamond jewel coordinated well with her caped, white Jenny Packham gown with sequins in the shape of flowers:
Camilla wore the Belgian Sapphire Tiara, echoing the striking color of her lace, Bruce Oldfield gown. (History of tiara-- Queen Eliabeth had purchased it as a 19th century necklace belonging to Princess Louise of Belgium, and had it converted to a tiara):
They looked appropriately regal for such an important occasion:
Stunning as they were, I'm a bit more of a jewelry renegade than the royals prove to be. Sometimes, would enjoy it if they didn't necessarily match or coordinate the colors of their respective gowns-- white, and blue--- so closely with their jewelry.
They all tend to do it, and it does show attention to detail...
My minor quibbles aside, they looked lovely.
And also during the visit. Love Kate in her plum:

Kate is a lovely woman. She wears clothing so well and has a regal appearance, beautiful face.

We've been seeing those pictures for almost a week. They all looked lovely and elegant. We should remember that a big staff of dressmakers, designers and stylists coordinates the looks that the royal ladies wear. That includes crowns and jewelry.

Kate is absolutely stunning as usual.
I never thought about the coordination of the tiaras to clothing colors. I'm with you. My days of worrying about matching anything are over. Much more fun to "think out of the box", but they are still beautiful.

I'm more interested in seeing Queen Es grandson in law in the jungle on a British reality show!
Though the QC and the PoW look lovely as they always do, it's Mike Tindall having all the fun while dishing about the RF.

The men are dapper and handsome and the women are beautiful.

How does Kate stand/walk in those 4 inch heels? Amazing!

@Oznell Thank you for posting. I enjoyed seeing the fashions and tiaras. I do not follow the royals, so I would have missed this had you not posted.
When I say I do not follow the royals, I mean I know nothing about them other than their given names. Their surnames and titles are a blur to me. Sometimes people refer to them by their titles, and I have no idea who that might be.

He won't be dishing for long. If he hasn't already he will be getting a heads up about keeping one's mouth shut.
First order of the Royals is no reporting on the inner life of any of the Royals.
Sounds like he might be of the Harry camp. Princess Royal is his mother-in-law and her and her brother the King , might need to rein him in.
