This is to all the wonderful posters who look forward to Quotes, Jokes, Laughter, and Words to Live By..., Unfortunately my computer was doing a dance and after attempting to do what I enjoy doing I had to give up.  I have been thinking of purchasing a new computer...just goes to show you that the little guy who talks to us when we need  something has been telling me to do just that.

Dear @Lindsays Grandma       Believe me, I understand.    Sometimes, I'd like to kick this computer out the front door(!!)    It has started doing "auto-fill" on my email.  I type in "Hi", and it adds "how are you?"  Huh?  How is a machine so audacious to "know"  what I plan on writing?

I use to have problems with my computer - until I got a CHROMEBOOK.   It does everything I need, simple stuff and never runs slow or has had any problems in years.  Google 'why is a chromebook different' and I think you'll be sold if you are looking for trouble free computing.

We appreciate all you do to brighten our days. I was always in awe of how much you type in those posts. I can not type like that, it would take me an hour or more. Your amazing and when your up and running again I'll be here being inspired by your wisdom and laughing at your jokes. 🙏🙌👍☕️❤️

That auto-fill does that on my phone.. It does drive me crazy at times. So I understand what you are saying..

It's amazing how attached we become to out computers. When mine goes on the blink, I go into a small panic, made worse by COVID. I like my Tosiba laptop because I can take it anywhere around the house with me. My battery power cable went bad this spring when stores were closed or had very restricted shopping. I rigged it to function until it died recently. Fortunately, Best Buy is now open for walk-in shopping and I purchased a new cable. Whew!

Another vote for Chromebooks. I have three of them, one is about to go into it's AUE (auto update expiration). Chromebooks have expiration dates and those dates depend on the make and model.

What I love most about CBs is that they don't need security/antivirus software...it's built in. CBs are basically maintenance-free. They update automatically w/o any issues whatsoever.
