I just noticed the Alpha and Omega within the pomegranate tree.  

 

There are so many fertility symbols in the tapestry - goat, horn, pomegranate, flowers.  

 

The full title of the tapesty is "The Unicorn is in Captivity and No Longer Dead".

@GrailSeeker  thank you I was thinking about that. Also the fence could mean the Garden of Eden, guarded by an angel with a flaming sword? A safe place of sanctuary and repose, or perhaps Christ resurrected in His tomb?
