THE IMPORTANCE OF WALKING

[ Edited ]

...Walking can add minutes to your life.

This enables you at 85 years old to spend

an additional 5 months in a nursing home

at $4,000 per month.

A perfect summer day is when the sun is

shining and the lawnmower is broken.

                                                 wacky wits.com

My grandpa started walking five miles a dy

when he was 60.  Now he's 97 years old and

we have no idea where the heck he is.

I like long walks, especially when they

are taken by people who annoy me.

The only reason I would take up walking is

so that I can hear heavy breathing again.

I joined a health club last year,

spent 250 bucks.  Haven't lost a

pound.  Apparently you  have to go there!

Every time I hear the dirty word "exercise",

I wash my mouth out with chocolate.

When you think about it God has to be the

best inventor of all time.  He took a rib from

Adam and made a loudspeaker.  (Said one elderly

man to another while sitting on a park bench)

I have flabby thighs, but fortunately

my stomach covers them.

The advantage of exercising every day is

so when you die they'll say, "Well, he looks

good doesn't he."

If you are going to try cross- country skiing

start with a small country.

I know I got lots of exercise the last few

years......just getting over the hill.

Now that I'm older I thought it was great

that I seemed to have more patience.

Turns out I just don't give a ******.

We all get heavier as we get older because

there's a lot more information in our heads.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

AND

Every time I start thinking too much about

how I look, I just find a pub with a Happy Hour and by the time I leave, I look just fine.

My wife said "Wotcha doin today?"  I said "Nothing".  She said,  "You did that yesterday".  I said, "I wasn't finished".

Said the same man to the other man sitting on the park bench.                                                    wacky wits.com

You could run this over to your friends but just e-mail

it to them.  It will save you the walk!

@Lindsays Grandma...my husband came upstairs just to see what I was laughing so hard about...

When I first saw the title of your thread I thought "OK, now what grim thing will happen to me if I am not walking enough." I loved all of these! Thanks for posting.Heart

@ILTH...It is your prerogative to see it that way.  None of this was meant to take seriously, take it with a grain of salt, have a sense of humor, life is more fun that way.

@Trinity11...If you laughed out loud I achieved my goal, glad you enjoyed it.

I agree with @ILTH. I have a great sense of humor, and see absolutely nothing funny about this.
