What a lovely surprise!
How wonderful you were able to see and hear such great cheer and good will.
We need more comfort and joy, a reminder that there is love. And hope.

Oh I love that! How lucky you are. It doesn't occur here, but it may be the layout of the homes, where they're located. Church choir is it for here I guess.

@Oznell What a wonderful Christmas gift! I say gift because it's an uplifting tradition that is less popular now than it was years ago, but truly a heartwarming feeling and meaning of Christmas spirit. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Such nice responses, thank you all for your insights. Caroling is something that always seems to catch us up, in such a positive way.
And, for those interested, all you need is 2 or 3 people or more, if available ( with Christmas carol lyrics on paper, that you can print off the net, for those moments when you forget, or never knew, the words!). You can choose one house, or many, or a pre-selected hospital unit or nursing home. The staff there are usually thrilled to have such groups visit, as long as it's pre-approved.
You don't even have to zero in on specific houses. If you're game, you can just stroll through a block, or a neighborhood, singing.
A few voices, and a ton of good cheer, go a very long way.
Merry Christmas and happiest of holidays to all!
