Definitely send them and receive them. I just gifted a plant with planting instructions to a friend of a family member whom I've never met (the friend, not the family member) and she sent the most beautiful heartfelt card to me; it made my day! I like sending greeting cards, too, in hopes that they're received as warmly as I receive mine when I open up the mailbox. With so many using everything electronically now, I think it's more personal to send snail mail greetings. My mother always had an address book; it's difficult now to do this because everyone only has phone numbers in their phones and never addresses saved anywhere. I'm guilty of being able to contact some non-local friends via any source other than social media. I need to fix that!

Yes.  I'm very big on thank you notes and I stress/teach that to my daughter.  A very good friend of mine who is like an Aunt to my daughter said to me and my daughter how much she appreciated a hand-written thank you card.

I'm so grateful for the people I know and I bought a big box of thank you cards on Amazon, so I'm good to go with my thank you cards. I have a gal pal who gets photo emails of upcoming letters that she's going to recieve in the mail from USPS, and she's always thrilled when she sees that a letter is coming from me. I bet you write some lovely and thoughtful thank you cards, Sandy Sparkles!

@SandySparkles  Thank you for your kind words, Sandy Sparkles!   No worries, I have memory issues too!  I got bad covid in 2019 and have had short term memory issues ever since.  I'm very glad that you had a great Friday, Sandy Sparkles! I don't fully remember my Friday, but I must've spent my Friday cooking chicken for my family and watching fun youtube videos.   Enjoy your Sunday! I'm making BBQ chicken and cornbread for my family tonight.
