Re: TEXAS RESCUE OF SEA TURTLES

@Cakers3Yes.  How awful.

Thanks for the correction.  I just skimmed the story a bit and didn't realize it was a sanctuary.  I sure do hope these cold snap ends and humans and animals will be safe.

Hi @Oznell .

I just read that primates in a zoo in San Antoinio, Texas have died.  They were chimpanzees, lemuires and a few others.  In total 11 of them have frozen to death.

This is sooo sad.  Thanks for sharing the story about the Sea Turtles!  Beautiful creatures!

Well, that is just terrible.

Re: TEXAS RESCUE OF SEA TURTLES

Happy news alert!

The rescued turtles are being released back into the sea, now that it is safe for them.

"BACK IN THE WATER: Thousands of previously cold-stunned sea turtles are being returned to the Gulf of Mexico after volunteers in Texas rescued them from freezing temperatures amid two historic winter storms."

This is a link to ABC News' tweet about this. It's the only link I could find to a video of the turtles getting to slide off a gentle slide from the boat, back into the sea. Looks like fun!
