What memories Swiss Colony brings back---I ordered every Xmas for years when my kids were little--they just loved those products---mostly because of the cute characters that most of the goodies were decorated with especially the petite fours---I haven't ordered from them for probably 30 years--- made great Xmas sock fillers. My kids would pour over their cataloge just like the toy catalogs---

Exactly my experience.  Years go, like 20 +, we ordered quite a few holiday gifts from that company, mostly petit fours that spelled out 'Merry Christmas' and the candy fruit slices.  Shipping and handling was included in price.

Kids loved them and looked forward to their gifts every Christmas.  Haven't ordered from there in many  years....

They had a layered chocolate torte that was very good. We'd slice it into about fourteen slices for a holiday dessert. This was several decades ago.

Received their products years ago and they weren't good.  I would never order from them.

I think Harry and David are good.  We received cheese as a gift from somewhere in Vermont.  I wish I could remember the name because it was the best.

Stopped buying  Swiss  brand abt 18+ yrs ago .

Found another company named Figi's which had delicious  products .

Abt 2 yrs ago  received a gift of Swiss Colony and I did not care for the cheese  or sausage products. Tasted to processed  like plastic and stale

I've seen the name Figi's now I'm intrigued, will go take a look!

My family has ordered from Figi's for years, very pleased with them. Smiley Happy

@bargainsgirl  What a surprise! No sooner had I read your post than a catalog showed up in our mailbox last night! I thought, wow, I have not heard that name in years and then twice in one day! Well, it was addressed to my MIL, but we get her mail at our house because she is in a nursing home. I'm not sure we ever ordered from them, but it's fun to walk down memory lane.

My Son and DIL would send me The Forrest Friends Log every year. I told him not to send it anymore due to the fact. It came in the mail, the price went up and it didn't taste the same.

Forgot to add, Swiss Colony know longer makes The Forrest Friends.

The Co founder of SC was Forrest K. & the business was started in his home.  My mom worked there back in the 50's.  I did data entry for SC for 30+ years and took disability in 2000/ They treated me well.  There is an outlet store in my hometown. I still get a 25% discount. They have petit fours for $2.50 a bag and get one free.  They have the cutest chocolate Chris Mouse for 99¢. Beef logs & the Garden Vegetable Dip are my favorites.  It goes by a different name (Colony Brands) now.

ETA: Dobosh Torte, was a favorite of mine too.

I have ordered from Swiss Colony for years. I always order the petit fours usually 4 boxes and I find them delicious!

I try to order something different every year like the peanut brittle which was very good.

The breads were tiny and won't buy those again. The round crunchy crackers are really good but didn't care for the cheese spreads.

This year will be just the petit fours unless I see something good. I always get free shipping with the petit fours.
