@San Antonio Gal ..........I didnt stop to figure out her age.  I was too angry she even gets a shot at parole.  Well good I hope she is withered and dried up.

She should have received the death penalty.  She should have been executed for taking her babies' lives.  At least we know they are in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity.

Time is just a drop in the bucket compared to eternity. It isn’t how long you live that matters; it is how well you are prepared to die. ~~Colonel Robert B. Thieme, Jr.

I saw this'last night on Ashleigh Banfield. Another reporter had interviewed the former husband, father of the 2 boys. He said he has forgiven her and explained why. It's because of God. I can't imagine living with anger and hatred my whole life so he had to do this. I understand the thought of forgiving but it's also confusing what it actually means, especially in a case like this. I admired his gentle demeanor.

@Teddie , I wished I had saw the show with the husband onAshleigh Banfield. If he had it in him to forgive her than I praise him. I guess you really never know how you'll react until your put in those situations.

Re: Susan Smith eligible for parole Nov 2024

Susan Smith finally confessed to murdering her 2 boys  - 9 days after she claimed her car was jacked.  She then pled Guilty by reason of insanity.  She was convicted in a jury trial of Murder of her 2 boys.  Her sentence was Life in prison - apparently with the opportunity for parole.  While in prison she's had liaisons with guards but only the men were punished.  Smith is up for parole in November 2024 - it's her right to petition for parole but I doubt it will be granted.  I remember her being on the news when she first claimed her car, with her young boys, was stolen from her on the road.  In her first public plea for "help" I KNEW she was lying.  Her crying was fake and she had briefly smiled to herself.  This case is unforgettable and she is unforgivable.

No parole, she deserves to spend the rest of her life behind bars. I feel for the ex-husband, the loss of his sweet little boys & now everytime she's up for parole he'll have to do everything possible to make sure it's denied.

Re: Susan Smith eligible for parole Nov 2024

Read an article about this topic this morning.  Whilte in prison she has had "relationships" with 2 guards - who were both prosecuted for it, lots of issues with drugs and other stuff.  She has not been a model prisoner.

She is now not allowed to be alone with a prison guard; there are always two when there has to be interaction with her.
