So timeless, thanks, @sidsmom.  The pics are those that always come to mind.  Then, when she’s down,  she pops right up again and finishes the walk.  A lesson to me every time I fall.

@SharkE, you are right.  I see the episode in more of a reflection of my own life when I’ve stumbled fall and have to get up again.  Happens too many more times than I want to admit!  Every day? 😏😏

I sure hope she realizes the way she’s living her life is not good.

You can’t out-exercise a bad diet...which clearly she had since

she almost died because of it.

To make big changes you have to have big changes.

A bad diet?  You have no idea how or what she eats.  There's nothing clear about her having a bad diet.  I assume you don't know her.  I do.

I've seen her many times over the years, most recently at a party this past December.  She's health-conscious, and she takes good care of herself.  She has lots of energy, stays active, keeps in good shape, and has a full and enriching life doing charity work and things she loves.  She doesn't sit at home eating fried foods in front of the TV.  That's not at all who she is, and I don't know why you want to blame her for what happened.

She was told that the problem she experienced was due to genetics and stress - not "a bad diet".  Her doctors are the ones who are qualified to determine that, and to advise her what to do going forward.  Nothing about her habits or her medical situation could possibly be clear to someone who doesn't know her.

He meant activities @sidsmom. Exercising..

Thought you might be interested in his son ...another cardiologist. He is a plant based diet advocate. He seems to have a lot of info on his Insta-gram account. So it just proves even in the same family, doctors have different approaches.

@Trinity11

I saw the YouTube video of his son’s girlfriend while they were cooking.

It would be in the Dr’s best interest to adhere to that Plant Based Diet

before he has heart issues.  He’s clearly overweight.

And cooking bacon & hamburgers...stunned...a cardiologist be

eating this way.  Oof. My doctors are slim & trim.

Most doctors don’t care to make their patients well. Clearly this is one.

@sidsmom Having a blockage doesn’t necessarily mean she’s eating junk. 1. She’s post menopausal so no more protection from estrogen. That makes a big difference for cardio vascular and bone health. 2. She’s got a genetic history of this health condition. She stated this. 3. She’s 72.  As we age it’s harder to fight your genes.

@Kalli

Didn’t say ‘junk’.  I said ‘bad’.

We have ‘normalized’ foods which have been proven to cause

heart disease (and other ailments) but yet doctors/cardiologists

continue to prescribe those diets to their sick patients.

It’s total idiocracy.

And it’s especially idiocracy when one walks around with a very

well known ‘history’ and obviously known age and still eats the foods

which cause the issue you are pre-disposed to have.

It’s opposite world.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again,

but expecting different results.”

@sidsmom Agreed...our diet in this country is at fault for lots of health problems. Im just saying that doesn’t mean everyone who has health problems, like cardio vascular problems, brought them on by their diet. You must look at the total picture which includes genetics and age related issues like post menopause.

I don’t know what Lucci eats. She could be a health nut. She could still have health issues due to her other factors.

@sidsmom  She said in an interview that she ate very healthily, and we know she exercised, had to for her bones, being so petite she was ripe for osteoporosis.

WWW.Goredforwomen.org

Scroll down and on the right side Susan addresses questions about her diet. She currently follows a Mediterranean Diet.

When testing was done (FEB 6th) article, she said that her need for 2 stents was completely genetic and she had CALCIUM DEPOSITS in her arteries which do not come from lifestyle.

The stats have proved that a Mediterranean Diet is heart healthy and the article explained everything....

@NYC Susan

Yep.

And obviously this cardiologist which I was referring to.

He was cooking bacon & hamburgers.

One is rated as cargengic as cigarettes & the other is known

to increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.
