Re: Surge Pricing for Fast Food

@icezeus I hate the surge pricing. I have seen it used at Ticketmaster for concerts & it makes me nuts!! Ticket prices are so ridiculous anyway & the buying & reselling is even more insane!

I have never used an Uber or Lyft.

If I want to go somewhere I drive myself in my own car to where I want to go.

I do eat fast food at times.I would totally avoid anywhere that I knew was going to raise the price on me.

I do realize that the price of eveything has increased & places have tried to offer wages that will attract workers & those costs have to be passed on to the consumer, but surge pricing does not make me want to support that business.

Re: Surge Pricing for Fast Food

I saw this on the news today and thought how stupid is the CEO of Wendy's. I am not going to pay extra money because I go there at lunchtime. I know the prices will drop at less busy times of the day but this practice is definitely a no-go for me. I will not pay extra.

They can all keep their fast food garbage. We prefer to eat at home. Our food tastes better than anything you can buy.

We get a burger from Burger Barn food truck every once in a while. They make burgers with meat from their own farm.

Re: Surge Pricing for Fast Food

I happen to like Wendy's food.  But I now eat a LOT less of it than I used to.  With the increase in prices, I may only eat there while on long distance road trips.

Re: Surge Pricing for Fast Food

The fast food places near me are pretty empty lately.

DS picked up some Wendy's when he was here for the holidays. He needed a Peppermint Frosty. 🥰

Re: Surge Pricing for Fast Food

The last time I ate there was during Covid in 2020. The food was horrible. Waited 30 minutes for cold nasty food. Never went back and have no intentions anytime soon.

Interesting. Wondering what Dave would think of this.

Re: Surge Pricing for Fast Food

A Wendy's is being built in our town, opening soon. This doesn't make sense. People will wait to get food during the nonbusy hours which will then make those the busy hours. Dumb.

Talk about grocery prices. I saw a head of red cabbage that was 5.00 !  Walmart, too.
