Update from the OP OMG Im an IDIOT. We have WINDOWS 7 on our laptops! Wait till I tell my husband tomorrow. And Im supposedly the computer person in the house! Here I am ranting and raving! After seeing Biancardis (thank you!) post I looked. I feel SO dumb now! I swore we had XP. LOL.
And thank you for asking Deb -My back is better than it was so far (fingers toes and everything crossed!).

What are we suppose to do with the XP notebook? I have one that works great but I bought a Window 7 a couple of years ago. They both have the same info on them. I finally unplugged the XP and don't use it but how do you get rid of it when it still has personal info on it.
Do I take it somewhere to have everything deleted or what? Would someone want to buy it for parts, you can't just throw them away. I don't want to spend any money on it especially since I don't use it anymore.
This isn't something I could do myself so I would need help.

Take the hard drive out of the computer then recycle. You can also buy a program called wipe drive and it will wipe the drive multiple times making it unreadable. I've used it when donating or selling my old computers.

I bought a new computer in January when they announced support ending.. It was time to upgrade to modern technology lol.
I wasn't a fan of Windows 8 UNTIL I got used to it. Nobody is good with change!

Speak for yourself. There are plenty of people who are good with change and like it.
